The chain-snatcher who was caught by a dog named Johnny started out as a decent guy but took to crime to keep his girlfriend happy.

After completing his Bachelor's degree in Computer Applications at Ananthpur, Azharuddin came to Bangalore to study networking at Rooman Technologies.

One of his teachers said he didn't remember the face. "Every year, we see more than 2,000 students coming here. How can I remember his face?"

But he said that no boy called Azharuddin had misbehaved during his time there.

The sincere Azharuddin was soon attracted to the good life. He started robbing chains to keep his girlfriend happy and even bought a pistol to help in his new profession.

He was caught during his third attempt.
